T111 (also called T1 11, T1 and T1-11) is a sidetrack of laminated plywood or beach board. Its durability makes it a popular choice compared to other forms of wood grooves. T stands for textured, a reference to the grooves cut into the surface.
Created in the 1960s, T111 is made of plywood a little superior to moisture damage than the type manufactured by OSB (oriented beach board, also known as waferboard), because it contains fewer natural grains. Thus, the plywood T111 is a bit spotty, but it also has a more elegant look, as it is often designed with long threads that imitate the appearance of natural wood.
