This is a quick and easy idea for a last-minute Halloween decoration if you are unfortunately with snow like I did this year.
It can actually be used for anytime snow decoration, "2020" for New Year's Eve, a Valentine's Day heart, "Joy" for Christmas, etc.
This past week, I was entertaining the family, and it was blizzard after blizzard, and I didn't get my usual decoration set up. Tonight (Halloween) it was getting dark and the kiddos were not showing up and I was worried that I would get stuck with the 70 goody bags that I excitedly collected over a month ago (I curated some amazing things this year!).
So, lurking a bit, I ran outside with a bunch of half-used lighting lights and pressed them down into the snow to spell "BOO" in my garden. It didn't turn out as well as I would have liked, but it did the job and started attracting Trick-Or-Treaters in plenty.
Between handing out goodies, I decided to try it again in my garden, this time creating a train for the candle to be set. The following is version 2.0.
- Tealight Candles
- Ladle (optional, but useful)
