Before soldering a broken part, I strongly recommend that you practice on hoses. You must learn and understand when the part is sufficiently heated so that it can be soldered and at the same time you do not need to overheat the part. Otherwise it can be weeds.
I was training to trim the tube 8mm. Made two cuts and started welding. The first attempt failed. I overheated the section and the cut turned into a large hole.
The second attempt was more successful. But there were small swells on the tube. But they can easily be cleaned with sandpaper.
