How to organize jewelry in a box

If you have been looking for a way to organize your jewelry, it is a good way to keep them sorted and in good condition to place them in your drawer in a drawer. Look through your jewelry and get rid of pieces you no longer want before you buy a jewelry organizer with compartments for each piece. You can even get creative and create your own containers to put in the box from things like egg cartons or unused cups.
. Gather all your jewelry together so you can go through it. Get rid of all the pieces that you will not carry, as well as parts that are broken. Consider donating pieces that are not broken to a local charity or used store to use them. [1

• Remove all earrings that are missing a match, too.
• Measure your box so you know what size organizer to buy. Use a tape measure to take the measurements of the box you plan to store your jewelry in, write down the length, width and depth of a piece of paper. This will tell you what size jewelry organizers to look for and make sure the one you choose fits in your box.

• When looking at jewelry organizers, pay attention to the dimensions stated on the packaging to see if they will fit in your box.
• Buy a jewelry organizer with separate compartments. When you know how much jewelry you need to store, decide which jewelry organizer will fit all your pieces. Look for jewelry organizers that go in boxes in your local big box store or home department store and choose one that has the trays for every other type of jewelry you own. [2]

• Velvet-lined jewelry organizers are the best material option because they prevent your jewelry from moving in their compartments.
• Use clear plastic jewelry to get a cheaper storage option. Things like costume jewelry can be placed in plastic jewelry organizers because they are less likely to be damaged than your more valuable or sentimental pieces. Look for plastic jewelry organizers that have different compartments in your local big box store or online, which often cost much less than a wooden jewelry organizer or one that is lined with velvet. [3]

• Stacking clear plastic jewelry inserts on top of each other makes it easier to see the jewelry on the bottom row.
• Try velvet lined trays to protect your jewelry. If you are worried about your jewelry being scratched or damaged by a plastic organizer, pick out one that is lined with velvet or some other type of similar material. The velvet prevents jewelry from sliding around and acts as a layer of protection against the organizer. [4]

• Look for velvet line jewelry organizers in your local home goods store or online.
• Velvet-lined tiles are perfect for special jewels or sentimental keepsakes.
• Place shallow jewelry inserts in a box with shorter depths. Many top boxes for agencies are not as deep as the other drawers, making it harder to fit large collections of things all in one box. Fortunately, many stores sell shallow jewelry organizers that will still hold your jewelry while also sitting in your box. [5]

• You may even buy several basic jewelry inserts and stack them on top of each other if your box allows.
• Look for shallow jewelry inserts in your local home goods store or online.
• Stack organizers on top of each other if you have small, deep boxes. If you have a large jewelry collection and agencies that are quite deep, use several jewelry organizers stacked on top of each other to keep all your jewelry organized. This makes it easy to find all the parts you want by simply lifting up the upper compartment to reach the lower one. [6]

Place expandable jewelry pieces in agencies with a large box. If your agency is large and wide, get creative with your organizer and choose a large one with lots of different compartments. You may choose one organizer only for rings and earrings and another organizer only for bracelets and necklaces. <sup id= [7]

• Look at different size options for jewelry organizers to find one that suits your needs.
• If your box is large enough, place each organizer tray next to each other in the box.
• You may need to check the total dimensions of the tray when it is fully expanded if you plan to open it while the tray is in the box.

1. Group similar pieces together as you place them in the box. This includes things like bracelets with bracelets or necklaces with necklaces. Sharing your jewelry so that similar items are placed together will make it faster and easier to find the pieces you are looking for when you get ready. [8]

• You may group jewelry that you often wear together and other pieces that are worn only on rare occasions together.
• Group jewelry that is more expensive together or place all your gold pieces with other gold pieces, silver parts with other silver parts, and so on.
2. Place jewelry in organizer depending on their size and shape. Most jewelry organizers have compartments in different shapes and sizes for different jewelry, such as bracelets, necklaces or earrings. Place each piece of jewelry in the box that suits its shape: necklaces go in long and lean boxes, bracelets go in square boxes and earrings or rings go in the smallest boxes. [9]

• Some organizers may also have foam in them to insert rings and earrings.
3. Give each piece of jewelry its own place to avoid damage. Try not to bump several pieces of jewelry on top of each other when placing them in the jewelry organizer. This prevents pieces from tangling or breaking. When you place your jewelry in the organizer, give each piece its own box or separate storage space so that they look best. [10]

Show extra jewelry on top of the office. If you run out of storage space in your box or just want to display pronounced jewelry, place these pieces on top of your dresser. Put them in a glass case or hang them on a jewelry rack to store a few pieces for a minimalist look. <sup id= [11]

• For example, if you have a pair of necklaces that are too bulky for your box-jewelry organizer, hang these pieces on a necklace stand at your agency to show them.

1. Use styrofoam egg boxes to hold earrings or rings. Recycle an old styrofoam egg carton by rinsing it off before cutting it with scissors. Place the egg carton in your box and separate your jewelry with each individual egg spot. [12]

• For example, place a pair of earrings in each compartment or 1 or 2 rings in each compartment.
• Rinse styrofoam with dish soap and warm water to remove any egg bacteria residue before putting your jewelry in it.
2. Keep necklaces from tangling with clear plastic straws. Use a pair of scissors to make a cut in a straw that goes down the entire length. Place the necklace inside the straw so that it extends completely so that it does not tangled. [13]

• Place the straws containing necklaces in a flat, shallow basket in the box for even more organization.
3. Place unused teacups in the box to hold bracelets. If you have a collection of old teacups or small bowls, place them in the box that is lined up against each other. Put your bracelets or other large jewelery in each teacup or bowl, separate them so that they do not mess up and are easily recognizable. [14]

• Teacups are also good for keeping watches or rings.
4. Look around the house for items that you can turn into containers. Jewelry organizers are all around you, from empty coin containers to ceramic works of art. Look through your boxes full of random jewelry for small items that you can use as a container for holding necklaces, bracelets, earrings or watches.

• Other ideas include using empty pill containers, yogurt containers, tin cans or small cartons.
