ONLYOFFICE Document Server is an open source suite that is distributed under GNU AGPL v3.0. It includes web-based viewers and collaborators for text documents, spreadsheets and presentations for integration with various cloud storage services such as Nextcloud, ownCloud, Seafile, etc.
The update v.5.4 provided several improvements:
- chart element customization; Embedding of the watermark;
- Headers & Footers in spreadsheets and presentation editors;
- print areas for documents and images;
- add image number, date and time to presentations.
In this tutorial, we will teach you how to easily install ONLYOFFICE Document Server on multiple Linux distributions with snapd support using the Snapcraft command line utility.
If you have ONLYOFFICE Document Server already installed, update it to the latest version as instructed in this guide.
Install ONLYOFFICE Document Server
# snap install onlyoffice-ds
Once done, ONLYOFFICE Document Server will be available at http: // localhost.
Configuration: Run Document Server on different ports
By default, the snap listens to port 80. To change the HTTP port (for example, to port 8888), run:
# snap set onlyoffice-ds onlyoffice .ds-port = 8888
Configuration: change MySQL port
By default, MySQL uses port 3306. To change the database port, run:
# snap set onlyoffice-ds onlyoffice.db-port = 3307  Uninstall snap
# snap remove onlyoffice-ds
