A mentor plan can help control the relationship between a mentor and a mentee. As you start working together, take the time to discuss your basic goals and find out what each person's responsibilities will be. Some other goals that the mentor can help the mentee to achieve include learning the company's roles and gaining competence, improving motivation and job satisfaction, or increasing the chance of staying with the company in the long term. Or, if you are a mentee, you can say "I am responsible for seeking opportunities and experiences that will enhance my learning." Based on your goals and responsibilities, decide how often you will meet, where you meet and how formal your meetings will be. Continue reading how to make adjustments to your mentoring plan!
