About this article
To make colored pasta for a craft project, start by filling 3 sealable freezer bags with 1 to 2 cups of pasta each, leaving about 2 inches of main space for you to move the pasta around. When your paste is applied, add one teaspoon of rubbing alcohol and 10 drops of food coloring in the first bag. If possible, use isopropyl alcohol at 70% concentration, as higher concentrations can make your paste sticky. When you have added your choice of color, seal the freezer bag and give it a good shake until the paste is completely covered. Then place the baggie on a baking tray lined with aluminum foil and repeat the process with different colors for the other two bags. Then let the pasta sit in its bags overnight before spreading over the baking sheet to dry for 12 hours. Read more about how to make edible colored pasta, read on!
