DIY Drill Press Table and Fence: 9 steps (with pictures)



This easy-to-make Drill Press Table is the perfect store project one day! The sliding tail star system is easier to install than t-grooves and when paired with MICROJIG accessories, this table and fence system is all you need for your drill press stand.

Cut List:

Everything is made from 3/4 "plywood

2 – 24" x 12 "

* On one section cuts 3/8" deep tail bar groves on 2 "and 5" from the front edge (long-edge). Then cut sweaty star groves on 5 "of each short edge. Optional: I cut a third vertical tail bar grove in the middle of the board and stopped it at the midpoint. This was for extra hold options.

– 24" x 3 "(fence surface) Cut a tail bar grove 1 "from the top edge

1 – 24" x 2 1/4 "(Fence bottom) Bore hole for welding star 5" from each edge

2 – 2 1/4 "x 2 1/4" ( support)
