Article overviewX

To repair a small hole in the drywall, trim any worn areas with a tool knife and then lightly moisten the repair area with a spray bottle of water. Apply a liberal amount of non-shrinking joint compound to the area with a putty knife and then pull the knife blade towards you in a steady, even motion. If the surface treatment does not look even, wipe off the putty, moisten it again and smooth the clay again. Allow the patched area to dry, then add additional layers if necessary. Once the hole is patched, sand the area until smooth and then paint the mixture to match the wall. Keep reading to learn how to repair a larger hole!
