When cutting a round cake, use as long a knife as possible and soak the knife in warm water first so that it cuts through the cake more easily. Use the knife groove one line in the icing over the center of the cake top. Then make another row at a 70 degree angle from the first row to create a triangle. Make another row between the first two rows to make two smaller triangles. Repeat the process around the whole cake so that it is divided into 10 even pieces.
