If a burglar breaks into your home, barricade the door to the room you use in heavy furniture and lock the door if you can. As soon as you've blocked the door, call emergency services and tell them that a burglar is in your home. While you wait for the police to arrive, look in the room for a blunt weapon, like a baseball bat or a glass bottle, if the burglar tries to break into your room. Most burglars are only looking for expensive items to steal, but if the burglar attacks you, try to escape from your house as soon as possible. If you can't escape, hit on their most vulnerable parts, such as their legs, eyes or groin, to make them incapable.
