If you receive a call or email promising you a test kit or a drug or supplement to cure the virus, do not reply. There is currently no cure for the virus, and you can only be tested at specialized facilities. Some fraudsters may also try to obtain personal information, such as your social security number or bank account number. Do not respond to someone who contacts you and claims that they need that information to get a coronavirus download check. You will receive your check by post or by direct deposit. The person who reaches out to you with an offer of teleworking is probably also a scammer, so do not respond to any job offers unless you have contacted them first.
